Segura Viudas enters a new phase and introduces a new image reaffirming its commitment to premium Cava. Under the strap-line Respect the roots, the Penedès based bodega ascribes value to its origins and history and highlights the exceptional quality of its vineyards and the grapes with which it creates its products.
Segura Viudas, located in a privileged enclave in the northern part of the Penedès, manages all its activities with a profound respect for its roots, working with indigenous grape varieties and combining an almost millennium old tradition with the utmost modernity.
With its eyes fixed firmly on its origins and the concepts of craftsmanship and authenticity, Segura Viudas enters this new phase which is characterised by innovation, sustainability and biological diversity.
A new image for Segura Viudas Brut Reserva
The nonconformist and creative character of the brand seeks to attract selective and curious consumers, who appreciate the high quality of Cavas like Segura Viudas Brut Reserva; a Cava made from hand-picked grapes which are brought to the winery in 25kg capacity boxes to protect the physical integrity of the grapes. Characterised by its fruity aromas and its freshness and complexity, this Cava spends a minimum of 15 months ageing in bottle. Segura Viudas Brut Reserva is the first of the bodegas produces to appear in this elegant presentation, using the Estate’s pre-eminent crest.
Recently Segura Viudas Brut Reserva Cava has gained various renowned international awards, recognising its high quality. Principal among these were gold medals in the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and Sommelier Choice Awards, and the silver medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2020.
The vineyards at Segura Viudas have accreditation in the Wineries for Climate Protection Programme (WfCP), the only accreditation in matters of sustainability and the environment in the winemaking sector. In addition for the third consecutive year, the bodega has reaffirmed its “Biosphere Commitment” status, as demonstrated by its responsible oenotourism undertaking.
