The event, which celebrates its second edition from April 4 to 6 at the Montjuïc Venue of the Fira de Barcelona, brings together the main wineries and distributors of the sector in Spain.
During the event, Grupo Freixenet will present its main innovations this year, such as the re-launch of the emblematic range of Freixenet Elyssia cavas and the successful Freixenet 0.0% Low Calorie alcohol-free sparkling wines. In addition, the company also presents two new brands that have joined its portfolio: the prestigious Alfred Gratien Champagne and the Mangaroca rum and coconut water liqueur.
Elyssia Gran Cuvée and Elyssia Pinot Noir, from Freixenet, arrive at Barcelona Wine Week to coincide with the re-launch of the emblematic Elyssia cava range, which is establishing itself in the premium segment. Elyssia cavas debut an elegant and modern image to attract consumers who seek sophistication and celebration. Elyssia stands out for its excellent quality thanks to a careful and rigorous production process. The result is two elegant, contemporary and seductive cavas.
The relaunch of white and rosé Freixenet 0.0% Low Calorie alcohol-free sparkling wines is another of the Freixenet Group’s main novelties for Barcelona Wine Week. Freixenet 0.0% launches a new and attractive image based on the iconic Freixenet frosted bottle and renews its formula to offer a “low-calorie” proposal that is suitable for vegans. This sparkling wine is made following an innovative process that uses the latest technology to dealcoholize the wine while maintaining all the characteristics of the wine. They are pleasant, fresh and balanced sparkling wines with elegant tropical and citrus aromas. Freixenet 0.0% thus becomes the healthy line of the Freixenet brand, offering a low-calorie alternative with which it expands its range of consumers.
Finally, the Group takes advantage of the opportunity to present its two new lines of business in society. On the one hand, Alfred Gratien, a prestigious brand known for its production of exceptional Champagnes that respects tradition and the artisan know-how of the family legacy. In addition, its renowned Champagnes are characterized by their elegance, finesse, good persistence and their vinification in wood, an aspect that differentiates it from other sparkling wines.
On the other hand, Mangaroca is a delicious and versatile coconut liqueur that has two presentations and has been distributed by the Group since this year. The brand is made up of the products Mangaroca Batida de Coco and Mangaroca Batida Pura de Coco, highly versatile products that can be enjoyed neat or with ice and that are ideal for creating delicious and innovative cocktails to enjoy with friends and family at any time. These products allow the company to enter a new category to continue offering the best proposals to consumers.
Apart from the novelties, Freixenet will also show all its most emblematic wines and cavas at Barcelona Wine Week, such as Carta Nevada, which has just received a gold medal in the Berliner Wine Trophy, or Cordón Negro, which has received the Regional and National Trophy in the prestigious international competition The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, being considered the best cava in the world and the best sparkling wine in Spain. In addition, the Giroví Contest has recently awarded Grand Gold medals to Cordón Negro, Carta Rosé and Freixenet Rosé Special Selection. Finally, the successful Freixenet Wine Collection, the Monologo wines or the renowned wines and cavas of the Segura Viudas brand, among others, will also be present at the fair.
In this sense, Grupo Freixenet is one of the main companies in the sector present at Barcelona Wine Week. The act is shown as an opportunity for its participants, since it aspires to be the international reference event based in the Catalan capital that comes to strengthen a sector with a great global impact.
